When you think of getting a discount on the price of something, what is the first thing you think of?
A sale at a retailer? A discount on the price of a car? The price of a home? Now, where would you not normally expect a discount? A physicians office? A mechanic? A real estate agent? What's the obvious difference here? One group is discounts on products. One group is discounts on services. So why is it so popular these days to ask home inspectors for a discount? We offer a service, not a product. Wouldn't or shouldn't we all want the best service that can possibly be provided for us in our times of need? Or does wanting the best service available not apply to helping us make the biggest financial decision of our lives? Oh, and believe me, I am all for saving money! In fact, I recommend we all begin asking our doctors, mechanics, and realtors for a discount! Something to think about!
